Final Days of the IWAS Wheelchair Fencing World Championships

The final Days of the Championships come to a close.
After 6 continuous exhausting days the IWAS Wheelchair Fencing World Championships comes to a close. The last two days of the championships saw the remaining team and Cat C events.
All of the fencers have trained an worked hard to be part of the championships, which was evident in the high quality of fencing skills that have been displayed throughout the Championships.
A summary of the results from the final two days are as follows:
Women foil Team – Gold Medal Italy: Lordena TRIGILIA, Beatrice VIO, Andrea MOGOS. Silver Medal Russia and Bronze medal Hungary
Sabre Mens Team – Gold Medal Italy: Alberto PELLEGRINI, Marco CIMA, Edoardo GIORDAN, Alessio SARRI. Silver medal Russia, Bronze to Ukraine.
Foil Male Cat C: Gold to Alexander LOGUTENKO (RUS), Silver to Chunhee PARK (KOR), Bronze to William RUSSO and Serhii SHAVKUN (UKR)
Epee Women Cat C: Gold to Ksenia Ovsyannikova (RUS), Silver to Ulrike LOTZ LANGE (GER), Bronze to Anna GLADILINA (RUS) and Consuelo NORA (ITA)
Epee Men Team: Gold to Russia: Maxim SHABAROV, Artur YUSUPOV, Roman FEDYAEV and Alexander KUZYVKOV, with Silver to France and Bronze to Iraq,
Sabre Women Team: Gold to Ukraine: Nadiia DOLH, Natalia MORKVYCH, Olga YESINA and Yevheniia BREUS, Silver to Italy and Bronze to Poland.
We would like to thank all of the Officials who took part in the Championships and the Organising Committee for their hard work who together made an enjoyable and successfull Championships.
