IWAS Wheelchair Fencing World Cup in Hong Kong

08/10/2012

To help celebrate its 40th Anniversary they hope the event will provide a festive closing to 2012

IWAS Hong Kong Jockey Club Wheelchair Fencing World Cup – Hong Kong

The Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled (HKPC&SAPD) will host the IWAS Hong Kong Jockey Club Wheelchair Fencing 2012 from 12 -17 December to celebrate its 40th Anniversary. The World Cup in Hong Kong is also an occasion for all wheelchair fencers to celebrate the closing of 2012 with a festive atmosphere.

As one of the fore-runners of development of wheelchair fencing in the world, the HKPC&SAPD has an excellent track record of hosting international wheelchair fencing competitions. In 1994 the 1st World Championships for Wheelchair Fencing was inaugurated in Hong Kong; and a World Cup was held in 2006. Both events were successfully organized with full compliments from all participants. The Organizing Committee of the World Cup-Hong Kong 2012 will put every effort to ensure the event a great success, not only on the competition part, but in other social aspects too!

We would hope to see as many wheelchair fencers, senior or junior; male or female taking part in this only World Cup event in Asia. Please find below information relating to World Cup-Hong Kong 2012.
