TEAM FOIL MEN’S

The China Team confirmed its excellent technical skills and superior tactics once again getting the World Championship Title beating Great Britain, Hong Kong and finally Russia (45-35).

The way of the Russian expedition stopped only in the final in front of the China Team obtaining only the second step of the podium.

The third place went to Hong Kong.

Today was the last day of the MOL FENCING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS BUDAPEST 2013, that saw the participation of three new Countries: Azerbaijan, Latvia and United Arab Emirates this a great result of the Team of International Wheelchair Fencing Executive Committee for the development of this discipline all over the world.

Good relations with the representative of United Arab Emirates could give the opportunity to increase with success of this sport in the Arabic Area.

The President thanked again the FIE and the Organization Committee for the visibility offered during this World Championships hoping that this co-operation will continue in the future. This was the meaning of the present to Mr. Giorgio Scarso Vice President of FIE and Mr. Zsolt Csampa President of the Hungarian Fencing Federation by the President IWAS Wheelchair Fencing Mr. Alberto Martinez Vassallo during the closing ceremony.

In the evening Mr. Martinez Vassallo was invited to the Hungarian Parliament to the gala dinner held in honour of the Fencing World Championships presented by Mr. Laszlo Kover President of the Parliament.
