Wheelchair Fencing Chairman Jakub Nowicki named as Technical Delegate for Rio 2016

Newly elected chairman appointed by the IPC
Newly elected chairman of Wheelchair Fencing Jakub Nowicki from Poland has been appointed by the IPC as Technical Delegate for the sport at Rio 2016.
Nowicki who has been involved in Wheelchair Fencing since 1997 and former manager of the Polish team will take the lead for the sport liaising with the Rio 2016 Organising Committee in the build up to the event.
He will also have the responsibility for ensuring that the Wheelchair Fencing competition takes place in accordance with all the rules and regulations of the sport. And his experience of organising the World Cup in Poland for 10 years will support him during his role for the qualifying events that will start 1st September 2014.
In anticipation of an exciting time for the sport, with a newly elected executive committee (September 2013) motivated with its development, the Rio Games are set to be a goal point to showcase the dynamic and expanding sport.
